v1.2.1

Meeting Minutes 1.2.1 updates the Managed transcription privacy text.

Privacy

  • Managed transcription is now described as an experimental free service. The Managed key notice and the Privacy tab say that the transcription gateway can use different speech-to-text providers, cloud or on our own infrastructure, and that saving a key also means agreeing to the gateway's policy, including how information is shared with those providers.
  • Nothing about what the app sends changes. Managed transcription still starts only after you save a Managed key, and your own Groq, Gemini, OpenAI and Anthropic keys work as before.

v1.2.0

Meeting Minutes 1.2.0 helps you never miss a call.

Record prompt

  • When another app starts using your Microphone and no Recording runs, a small always-on-top prompt names that app and offers **Record**, **Not now** and **Never for this app**. It appears once each time that app starts using the Microphone, and closes by itself after about 20 seconds.
  • **Record** starts a Recording exactly like the main window's Record button, including the Recording notice the first time. The prompt never starts a Recording on its own.
  • It works while the main window is closed and the app sits in the tray, and it stays out of screen sharing and Snapshots, like the Capture bar.
  • Turn the prompt off, or remove apps you silenced, in Settings.

Source health

  • While a Recording runs, the app warns you when the Microphone has delivered no signal at all for 60 seconds, or when System audio has been silent for 3 minutes while your Microphone heard speech. Quiet rooms, waiting rooms and Voice notes do not set it off.
  • The warning shows on the Capture bar and in the main window's recording bar, and Windows shows a notification. It names the Source and its device.
  • **Open sound settings** opens Windows Sound settings; the Recording follows a change of the default device. **Dismiss** hides a warning for this Recording until the Source recovers and fails again.
  • A warning never stops or pauses the Recording, and it clears by itself once the Source carries sound again.

Settings and privacy

  • The Record prompt is on by default. It reads only which apps are using the Microphone, on your PC, and sends nothing anywhere.
  • Diagnostics count Source health warnings and Record prompts shown, without app names, devices or audio.

Fixes

  • The Capture bar height now fits a Source health warning.

v1.1.0

Meeting Minutes 1.1.0 adds Snapshots.

Snapshots

  • Take a Snapshot of part of your screen while a Recording runs, with a global hotkey or from the new floating Capture bar. Each Snapshot appears in the Transcript at the moment you took it.
  • Drag a Capture region once and reuse it for later Snapshots, or draw a new one at any time. The first Snapshot asks for a region.
  • Take Snapshots while a Recording is paused. They sit at the pause Marker in the order you took them.
  • Open a Snapshot at full size, add or edit a caption, reveal it in its folder, or delete it and undo the deletion.
  • Library search finds Snapshot captions and jumps to the nearest Segment.
  • Snapshots are saved as PNG files in the Meeting folder at native resolution, survive a crash with the rest of the Recording, and are included when you export a Meeting.

Capture bar

  • An always-on-top, draggable, collapsible bar with pause, stop, Snapshot and a timer, shown only while a Recording runs.
  • The Capture bar and the region overlay are excluded from Snapshots and from screen sharing.

Settings and privacy

  • Change the two Snapshot hotkeys in Settings (defaults Ctrl+Alt+S and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S). The app tells you when a hotkey cannot be registered.
  • Snapshots stay on your PC. Summary, Ask and Citations do not read them, and nothing is sent to a transcription or language model provider.
  • The Recording notice now says that Snapshots may capture content others share.

Fixes

  • Fixed the app freezing when taking a Snapshot from the Capture bar.
  • Fixed Capture bar and region overlay chrome on Windows.

v1.0.0

Meeting Minutes 1.0.0 is the first release.

  • Record Microphone and System audio from any Windows call app, or Import an existing audio file.
  • Keep each Meeting in the local Library as readable audio and Transcript files.

Turn audio into a Transcript

  • Transcribe locally with Whisper, or use your own Groq or Gemini key for cloud transcription.
  • Choose a Meeting language from 11 supported languages, or use Auto-detect.
  • Re-transcribe with one chosen Speech-to-text model when needed.

Understand and Ask

  • Generate a Summary and Action items with Citations to Transcript Segments.
  • Ask questions about one Meeting and follow Citations back to the audio.
